A two-year, hands-on apprenticeship with certified Build Officers. Learn every step of residential construction — from land use and permitting to handing over the keys.

The Program

You'll work shoulder-to-shoulder with licensed contractors on real homes — from the first survey stake to the certificate of occupancy. You learn by building.
Read surveys, evaluate parcels, and set foundations that pass the first inspection.
Navigate zoning, submit permit packages, and speak the language of your local building department.
Frame to finish. Ride every phase of a home through completion under a licensed Build Officer.
Graduate ready to test in Building, Roofing, Electrical, Mechanical, and Plumbing.
The BREMP Trades
Build Officers are cross-trained across the full BREMP framework. You leave the program fluent in every system that goes into a home.

Framing, foundations, envelope.
Trusses, decking, finish systems.
Rough-in, panels, service entrance.
HVAC, ductwork, ventilation.
Supply, waste, fixture installation.

The Offer
This is a career on-ramp, not an internship. Apprentices start at a competitive wage with performance bonuses layered on top.
Selection & Oversight
Every apprentice is reviewed and approved by the Better Building Council — the governing body that certifies Build Officers and upholds the BREMP standard.

The deciding body on apprentice selection and Build Officer certification.

Building · Roofing · Electrical · Mechanical · Plumbing — the five pillars of every Build Officer.
